spinal stenosis

When you know what sciatica is and the different variations this affection has, you will realize how it is possible an injury could be the responsible for this problem. So you first have to be aware of what sciatica is, how it is caused, what can cause it, how can this affect you and most important, how you can get rid of it.

You first need to know what the sciatica is, so a simple definition could be that this affection is a set of symptoms such as pain, and discomfort, in the lower back and legs, in some cases it could be so acute that may be the responsible to make a person unable to move.

You might wonder can a leg injury cause sciatica for real.

In order to answer this question it would be necessary to have a look at the sciatica causes:

Herniated disc, Spinal stenosis, Periformis syndrome, Tumors, Slipped disk and we also can get pelvic injuries, lower back injuries, and pelvic fractures, So sciatica pain usually irradiates to one or both leg, that's why some people get confuse and may think there is a relation between and old leg injury and sciatica.

The compression of the sciatic nerve is what causes this pain and irritation, some times Just in the lower back other times from buttock to the ankle, so do not get confused. Knowing this I don't think a leg injury causes sciatica, but you could get sciatica as a result of an injury to the lower back, or pelvis.
